THE CHOICE: "The veil means nothing if it is imposed by law rather than personal choice.  It is no longer about modesty but uniform.  Once it is uniform it becomes about absurdity rather than discretion.  A single strand of hair can become pornographic.  Sincerity is sadly lost.

THE LAW: "If anything the legal enforcement of the veil guarantees sincerity.  It makes it so no frivolous sight of a sister more intimate person is seen as easily as a public street.  Like the virgin who saves the breaking of her seal for her husband the legal enforcement of the veil makes for the elements of person it covers elevated in honor."

THE CHOICE: "Honor is to be like the moon rather than the stars.  Among only lights radiance has no distinction for one lacks contrast to distinguish it as good.  Even the excrement of a dog can be uniform."

THE LAW: "You forget that the light of the moon much like the waste of the dog cannot exist without nourishment of sunlight and food respectively.  Those stars you condemn for their more common nature are uniform.  The sun itself is a star.  They all glow with light while enforcement of the hijab makes all sisters honored by modesty.

THE CHOICE: "Than let the wearing of my veil be like sun if I must wear it and if I do not wear it let me be like the moon whose light is given by a greater source than you."
Started writing about the enforcement of the hijab versus the choice of the hijab. My recent friendships with hijabi, reading of ‘Reading Lolita in Tehran’ by Azar Nafisi and ‘Persepolis’ by Marjane Satrapi (both Iranian storytellers), and my attendance of the Iranian Culture Club of Virginia Commonwealth University are what mainly inform my opinion of the veil outside of the Quran and Islamic Studies. As such I wrote immediate expression of opinion about the enforcement of the hijab versus the choice of hijab. Looking at it I quickly saw how pro-enforcement might argue back. Than pro-choice back and so forth.

I would like to think my final line or rather the final line of THE CHOICE shows respect to both hijabi and non-hijabi Muslim women and that its get the pro-choice stance out on top. PLEASE TELL ME IF YOU FEEL I ACCOMPLISHED SUCH OR NOT! *** Furthermore feel free to continue the debate. *** If you do give credit for my initial lines, give credit for your own, and lastly encourage further debate.
